A habitat can be described as the environment in which an organism lives. To me, my home is my habitat. My house has grey siding and blue shutters. It also has a front porch, a back patio, and a two-car garage. Consisting of a furnished basement, and a second floor, there is lots of room for me and my family to live there. My family includes my sister, my dad, my mom, our chickens, and myself. A niche is your job in an environment. Since my responsibilities around the house are taking out the trash, unloading the dishwasher, cleaning my room, and other various chores, I have many niches. Eventually these niches will transform from simple chores to taking care of my own family. I may live somewhere far away from my parents, or stay here. I only know that things are constantly changing, which means my niche and my habitat will change, depending on where life takes me. As of now, my mom and I both do laundry. My mom, dad, and myself pick vegetables from the garden. Aside from our similar tasks, there are things I don't do. My dad looks after the chickens, and mows the grass. My mom cooks dinner. A habitat can be a place full of organisms that have niches and other responsibilities that help maintain the way of life.
